So after months, even years of thinking and planning, the day is finally here (almost). In 4 days time we will have left the UK and started our year off. It’s been pretty intense trying to get everything sorted, and I had originally planned to write loads about the preparations and the things we’ve learned up until this point. BUT, in reality, I haven’t really had any time to write about anything at all!
Essentially, the idea of writing a blog that MIGHT possibly help out somebody else who was contemplating ditching their regular lives (temporarily or permanently) in search of a break from the norm, has essentially taken a back seat in favour of actually achieving it whilst still maintaining our normal existence. That said, if anyone does think I might be able to help you out by offering what tiny amount of info I have so-far gleaned, then by all means hit me up on email or facebook messenger, always happy to help!
So, this blog is actually gonna be more like a travel diary really, to serve as a record for ourselves, and give me something to do in the evenings, after home-school has finished! It will also allow the small minority of you out there who are actually reading it to keep up with where we are and what we’re doing, assuming of course that you actually care!
Anyway, I’m gonna sign this off now and continue packing, and I suspect the next post I write will be when we’ve landed in France and got our bearings, see you all again soon.
